How do we interact, how do we all get along and most important: How can we sail the yacht faster than all other crews?<br><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote has-text-align-left has-background\" style=\"background-color:#767a7c\"><blockquote><p>After more than 30 years in the job, it has become time to do something different. Leaving the rat race is a tough decision to make, letting all the achievements of a working life behind.<br>Still, do something different!<br>Something remarkable&#8230;<br>And exactly this is the slogan of \u201cClipper round the world\u201d (CRTW), a yacht race circumnavigating the globe.<br>Considering the background as naval engineer it was very obvious that I had to apply for this\u2026.and I got selected! Goosebumps!!!<br>Several levels of training in the UK, how does a 70ft racing yacht handle versus the regular \u201choliday\u201d charter boats? There is definitely a huge difference, both from sailing as well as from comfort aspect.<br>Physically very demanding, yet very rewarding from a sailing aspect. Lot\u2019s of new things to learn, so many new people to meet. Elle Hebron is Mate.<br>&nbsp;\u201cHa Long Bay\u201d (CV31 as the yachts registration) is the yacht to carry me around the globe.<br>And there is a crew of 46 men and 18 women, representing 21 nations.
